The Members of German Advisory Group on Economic Reforms



Ricardo Giucci, PhD in economics: Leader of the German Advisory Group on Economic Reforms in Ukraine and Managing Director of Berlin Economics. Work on macroeconomics, monetary and exchange rate policy, banking system and capital markets. Graduated in economics from the Free University Berlin and achieved his PhD from Potsdam University. Formerly research affiliate at DIW Berlin.

Lars Handrich, Dr. phil.: Member of the German Advisory Group on Economic Reforms in Ukraine and managing director of DIW econ in Berlin (Germany). Work in Ukraine on social and labour market policies, health care reform, insurance sector development, and structural reforms. Studied social sciences at Humboldt University Berlin (Germany), Duke University (USA), the London School of Economics (UK) and Oslo University (Norway). Lars Handrich holds a Ph.D. from Humboldt University Berlin.

Robert Kirchner, MSc in economics: Member of the German Advisory Group on Economic Reforms in Ukraine and consultant with Berlin Economics. Work on macroeconomics, international finance and financial markets. Graduated in economics from Potsdam University and University of Warwick (UK). Formerly research assistant at Potsdam University.

Work on structural policy, energy supply and trade policy. Studied at Bonn University, Humboldt University of Berlin and University of Minnesota. Previous position at Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
