Who we are

Igor Burakovsky: Doctor of Economic Sciences: Head of the Board - Director. Professor of Economics at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy". Research interests: economic reforms in the countries on transition, regional integration processes, international trade and trade policy. Participated in a number of international research projects. Worked as research fellow in Great Britain (Birmingham University), Japan (Economic Planning Agency, Japan Institute for International Affairs), USA (Fullbright Scholar, Stanford University). Teaching courses "International Trade" and "International Trade Theory". Before joining the Institute worked as Senior Economist/Project manager at the EastWest Institute Kyiv Centre.

Oksana Kuziakiv: Chief Executive, Head of the Ñenter for Contemporary Society studies. Research interests: surveys of business tendencies, development, and business climate in Ukraine. Worked with numerous non-government institutions and technical assistance projects such as Soros International Economic Advisory Group, International Centre for Policy Studies, Economic Education and Research Consortium. Graduated from the Kyiv National Taras Shevshenko University (MA magna cum laude in Sociology). Completed the post-graduate studies at the Institute of Sociology of NASU. Specialization: Social structure, social institutions, social relationships.

Veronika Movchan: Academic Director, Head of the Center for Economic Studies. Research interests: macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, international trade and trade policy. Worked as research fellow at Stanford University (USA) and the DIW-Berlin, Germany. Worked as a consultant at the World Bank Resident Mission in Kyiv and the Harvard Institute for International Development (Ukraine). Graduated from the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" / EERC (MA magna cum laude in Economic Theory). Completed post-graduate studies at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy". Worked in Raiffeisen Aval Ukraine as credit agent. Graduated from Odessa National University by I.I.Metchnikov (Specialist in Management of Organizations). Oleksandra Betliy: Fiscal and social policy group. Research interests: fiscal policy and tax forecasting, social sector issues, including healthcare and labor market policies. Participated in international research projects. Studied the course on Financial Programming at the International Monetary Fund Institute.
